Our Story
The Beginning
Politics: The Game was conceived of during those early days of the COIVD pandemic. Whether isolation sparked creativity, or whether it was brought on in a febrile delusional state, the idea was born for a game that hopefully you and yours will enjoy. (The input of friends and family was essential and much appreciated, but in no way was any payment or stipend for such input implied or expressed, so aside from the very generous Circuit City gift cards you each recently got, you should NOT expect anything else. )
Why Politics: The Game?
Aside from the fact that the game really is fun, it also has some really unique features. For example, all trivia questions and wildcards are located in a free, web-based app (Google and Apple store versions coming). Questions will never repeat themselves (unless you want them to), and we are trying to reduce our footprint by not shipping over 1,000 question cards. You also have the ability to upload your own custom trivia questions, which is pretty darn cool. And last, the game could be played cooperatively or competitively (or a little of both!), and you have the option to adjust length of play 'on the fly'.
How to Purchase the Game
The app is free, but you won't be able to actually access any of the features until you register with your unique code (inside each game box). Currently, we are doing final beta testing (maybe more like omega testing?), and assuming that goes well, the game will be sent off to the printer and be available for purchase in January 2026. Initially, hard copies will be for sale at Escape Corvallis, as well as at numerous game stores in Corvallis, OR. You will also be able to order a copy through this website, with free shipping, so keep an eye on this page!
